Design Engineer Jobs in ARM: Arm's Solution Engineering team is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our implementation team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will employ the latest design techniques to meet demanding product specifications on cutting-edge technology nodes. You will collaborate with customers, EDA vendors, and Arm engineering groups worldwide to ensure our IPs meet partner requirements and drive advanced implementation methodologies using the latest EDA tools.
ARM Design Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Implement designs of varying complexity using appropriate flows.
- Continuously improve CPU performance, power, and area metrics by enhancing soft IP, implementation flows, Physical IP, and EDA tools.
- Participate in peer reviews and quality inspections.
- Collaborate with EDA vendors to refine methodologies and develop solutions for advanced technology implementations.
- Engage with partners to understand their requirements and provide support as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 1+ years of experience in ASIC system-on-chip implementation from RTL to GDS.
- Strong dedication, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with tape-outs on the latest technologies.
- Knowledge of low-power and high-performance implementation techniques.
- Proficiency in developing and working with timing constraints for build and sign-off.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple design centers across various time zones.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective internal and external networking.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in scripting and data presentation languages (e.g., Tcl, Shell, Perl, Python).
- Experience with low-power design techniques (e.g., power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
- Familiarity with Verilog RTL design.
- Understanding of Design for Test (DFT) concepts.
