Key Responsibilities
- Understand and draft firmware application requirements for projects.
- Perform project design and development activities.
- Design and develop firmware modules and integrate them with embedded devices.
- Create high-level and detailed designs, test cases, test plans, and reports.
- Develop, debug, and test software for embedded systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Optimize I/O performance and troubleshoot embedded system issues.
- Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and communicate project progress with stakeholders.
- Interact with customers and take additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++.
- Strong understanding of embedded design life cycle and new product development.
- Experience with 8/16/32-bit microcontroller/microprocessor-based design.
- Proficiency in OS/RTOS like Linux, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, Nucleus, etc.
- Expertise in industrial communication interfaces and protocols (RS232/485, USB, SPI, Ethernet, MODBUS, ProfiNet, EtherCAT, BACnet, Bluetooth, OPC-UA, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with device driver development, kernel programming, and bootloader development.
- Strong debugging skills using digital oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and similar tools.
- Knowledge of MISRA-C standards, C11 and above standards.
- Familiarity with static code analysis tools (Coverity, QAC, PC-Lint) and software version control (SVN/GIT).
- Experience in DevOps, software quality development, unit testing, and integration testing.
