Electric Powertrain Firmware Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Develop application layer software and create simulations for the electric powertrain and control systems of POD taxis.

• Work on key algorithms for autonomous drive control, implementing safety mechanisms.

• Conduct Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) testing to ensure software quality and reliability.

• Set up test benches for the POD taxi powertrain to enable efficient and accurate testing of system components.

• Perform on-site algorithm testing to validate control system functionality.

• Create system simulations using MATLAB/Simulink to analyze and optimize powertrain performance.

• Implement CAN communication protocols for seamless electric vehicle (EV) powertrain interaction.

• Collaborate with vendors and conduct on-site testing as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.

• Proven experience in model-based coding and firmware development.

• Strong knowledge of electric powertrain systems and their components.

• Hands-on experience with CAN bus communication protocols.

• Experience in developing automotive software compliant with functional safety standards (FuSa) and/or ISO26262 is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical presentations.

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in model-based programming, preferably in automotive or electric vehicle projects.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.

• Familiarity with real-time control systems and software optimization techniques.
