About the Internship:
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Develop embedded C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers (MCUs) used in digital blood pressure monitors.
🔹 Implement signal processing algorithms for blood pressure measurement (oscillometric method, filtering, noise reduction).
🔹 Optimize real-time data acquisition from pressure sensors.
🔹 Implement power management techniques for better battery efficiency.
🔹 Ensure low-latency communication with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB interfaces (if applicable).
🔹 Interface with pressure sensors, pumps, and valves to control inflation/deflation mechanisms.
🔹 Develop and optimize I2C, SPI, and UART protocols for sensor and peripheral communication.
🔹 Work closely with hardware engineers to improve firmware-hardware interaction.
🔹 Develop unit tests and system tests for firmware validation.
🔹 Debug firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
🔹 Optimize firmware for accuracy, stability, and speed.
🔹 Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory standards (ISO 80601-2-30, IEC 62304).
🔹 Document firmware architecture, code, and testing procedures.
🔹 Ensure compliance with medical safety regulations and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
✔ Strong expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems.
✔ Experience with ARM Cortex-M, ESP32, STM32, or similar MCUs.
✔ Knowledge of RTOS, bare-metal programming, and low-power design.
✔ Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART communication protocols.
✔ Experience with blood pressure measurement algorithms is a plus.
✔ Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and IoT protocols.
✔ Proficiency in hardware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
